Here are my top 3-MLM success tips for your networking business.

If you are new to multi-level-marketing one of the best MLM success tips I can offer you is to find a great mentor. Preferably the person that brought you into the business.
MLM Success Tip #1
Choosing a network marketing business is no different from buying a great car like these vintage Mustangs here, computer, or a pair of shoes. Once you’ve decided on the make, model and color, then its time to shop around for the best price right?
The same holds true when it comes to joining a MLM company. Shop around for the best upline leader, (mentor) you can find! You want to be with someone who takes time to train his new teammates. A leader with strong networking skills will save you time and money as you build your new business. It’s always best to learn from the mistakes of others.
How To Find A Strong Leader
Finding a strong leader is as simple as doing a google search for the MLM company you plan to join, then look for people who are blogging about their company. The true leaders will be offering free information and MLM success tips about network marketing, prospecting ideas, how to create duplication, stay focused, motivated, and what it means to be working on income producing activities (IPA’s) every day
Joining one of the Facebook MLM groups is another way to pick out a mentor and someone you can build a relationship with, before signing up. Just about any MLM company you can think of has a group you can connect with. Search out the people who are most active in the group that offer the most value. Those are the ones you should befriend. It’s your job to interview who you want to do business with. Pick the person you feel you’ll learn the most from, and who you wouldn’t mind spending time vacationing with. Most companies have exotic travel vacations as a bonus for those who reach certain levels. Make it your goal to be on those trips!
MLM Success Tip #2 For Your Network Marketing Business.
Make a Commitment to Time and Education!
Regardless of what anyone tells you, there is no magic bullet in this business. Money isn’t going to come flying out of your computer screen, (although that would be nice) nor will you make $1167.34 a day with one click of the mouse. Any MLM business takes work, a lot oft it! If you plan on doing this part-time or full-time, commit and dedicate at least 1 hour a day to education. Motivational, personal development, Podcasts on MLM success tips are easy to carry around and listen to on your phone or while driving.
There are thousands of network marketing books available, a couple of my favorites are: “Your First Year in Network Marketing” by Mark and Rene Yarnell. “Crush It” by Gary Vaynerchuk. Both tell it like it is, what to expect, and how to get results. These two books were instrumental in helping me sharpen my network marketing skills.
Check back with your mentor, remember that strong upline leader you picked? He or she probably has a few recommendations on webinars or even trainings they have put together. One word of caution, be careful not to fall into the trap of MLM information overload! It is a dangerous trap that will pull you away from your daily IPA’s.
MLM Success Tip #3
Learn how to become and offer a solution to the problem. What do I mean by that? Everyday there are millions of people searching the Internet looking for a solution to the universal network marketing problem.. Nine times out of ten the problem revolves around having enough people to talk with. Generating leads and finding people interested in what you have to offer is the single most difficult thing to do on a consistent basis.
As you begin to educate yourself, one of the best MLM training tips I was taught when first starting out was how to market and generate leads online. If you will make the time to learn the law of attraction marketing, sponsoring new members on your team will increase your MLM success ten fold.

All good points Roman. Leaders, length of time and support are the most important. So many companies are start-ups these days and while they may have some great leaders involved, most fall short when it comes to support and marketing tools.
Appreciate you taking the time to comment!

Totally concur you hit the nail on the head. I am also a firm believer in researching an opportunity before joining. I like to know how long they been around, who are the leaders, and what type of support do they provide. I know the importance of finding a good mentor as well as the importance of learning continuously. In network marketing we have to strive to be the smartest and hardest working individual on our team. Got a bit long winded.

The right leader is so important Vineet. Focusing on Income Producing activities daily is another thing one must focus on.
Its so easy to get distracted when first starting out with any MLM company. You’ve got to do what the successful leaders on your team do. And that is prospecting and taking with people every day!
Thanks again!

Hey Nick,
Thanks for your comment! I agree with you, having a “bad leader” or one that is always MIA, shouldn’t be an excuse for failure. There are plenty of great leaders out there to learn from.
All the best!

Rightly put together this article buddy. Along with choosing the right mlm company, its even important that you should work with right leader, who has long term vision!
Thanks for nice article 😉

Hi Richard,
Thanks very much for this post. I think you really nailed the important point for anyone that is searching for success in Network Marketing.
I like what you said about “finding a strong leader” but I would add that it shouldn’t be a point of failure if you have a bad one. I think that it’s possible to emulate or model different leaders (based on their success) and pass that value down to your team.
I’ve heard quite a few stories recently from people who can’t get hold of their sponsor. This is bad but I do say “find someone else to model and learn from”. Learn from the shortcomings of your sponsor and “put it right for your team”.

Hi Ruthida,
You are so right! There is no overnight success in this business. It drives me crazy when I hear people tell others how easy it is to make money either online, or with a MLM.
Thanks Ruthida for your comment, have a great weekend!

I agree with you on all your points, especially that people should dedicate time to their business. And that they should learn as much as they can – cautiously though. These are some of the most important keys to MLM success. MLM success does not come over night, otherwise everyone would be doing it and excelling.
Hi Darren,
Thank you for sharing! You bring up such a valid point. What you experienced your first time around is pretty tragic, sorry to hear that. I believe everything happens for a reason. It’s something I hope most don’t have to deal with. Payout, products, etc are important, but a great mentor and training system is paramount!
Thanks again for stopping by!

Hey Richard!
Love the points mentioned on your post… I find that a lot of people who first get into this industry are always more concerned about finding the company that has the best payout, the best product or “the best” whatever when they really should be focusing on having “the best mentor” (for them at least).
I joined my first MLM company many years back and my upline was new to the industry and as much as I loved her company, we just did not make it there because our whole upline had been removed due to some violations that they had breached. So we were really left to learn everything from scratch without any mentorship.
That’s a mistake that anyone can make, and a BIG one! If anyone wants to succeed in this industry, then they need to be looking for a mentor who they can be sure will be there for them to guide them, when they need help.
Great points mentioned here Richard! 🙂
Regards,
Darren Spruyt

Hey Pat,
So true! The learning curve is a never ending process. Something I enjoy doing.
Have a great weekend Pat.

Richard awesome information. I agree, in order to help others you have to learn more than them. Learning from the ones that have been successful is a critical time saver.

So true Steve!
I believe its partly the industry’s fault. Far too often network marketing and MLM businesses are pitched as, “Just recruit a few people” and the money will roll in…
Well, it just doesn’t happen that way folks!
Thanks again Steve,
RichardP
That’s probably because these people in general want things to be easy and convenient. They don’t realize that if they want to be successful they need to do some things the hard way.
Hi Paul,
I’m sure it happens all the time. I wouldn’t look at it as being rude, I would appreciate the honesty. I’d rather have them be straight up with me instead of stringing me along, only later to find out they did sign with someone else. That has happened to me before.
Thanks for your comment!
RichardP
Interesting post. but what would you say to the person who exposed you to a business? “That looks great, I’d like to get involved but I’m going to sign up with someone else” seems a bit rude to me.
Curious as to your thoughts…

Hey Lisa,
Isn’t that the truth! It’s tragic really how often people present an opportunity and make it seem like there is some “easy-button”.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment!
Have a great week!

Hi Richard!
Great advice! Too many people do not do their due-diligence before joining an MLM. Just enrolling with “anyone” won’t cut it. People need to talk to the potential upline sponsor and see if the person and team is a good fit.
There is no easy-button in our profession. If there were, every person would be a millionaire! But, for those who pursue it seriously, the rewards are great!
Thanks for the spot-on advice!
Lisa
