There comes a time when enough is enough!
If you’ve been working on learning how to generate leads online for your network marketing business, do you find yourself spending hours upon hours in front of your computer, buying all the MLM marketing tools you can afford?
If so, then you’re a victim of MLM information overload and it really is time to STOP and start implementing these 7 steps.
You know, I’ve been doing this now for a few years and I am just blown away by the sheer number of distractions that end up in my in-box everyday!
Well, the best thing you can do to avoid MLM Information Overload from happening to you is to…
1. Unsubscribe from every email list that you are on.
Unless it’s from your primary or affiliate company, take yourself off all the lists you subscribe to for 60 days.
2. Focus!, Focus!, Focus!
Stop running in 50 directions and “Make A Daily Plan of Action” I want you to write out 3 things that are actually income producing activities and concentrate on those three thing for the next 30 days.
And NO, Blogging and taking yet another course on Article Marketing, PPC, How to Generate 50 Leads a Day, or any of that, are not (IPA’s) Income Producing Activities.
3. Disconnect yourself from your email account!
Stop checking your email 700 times a day! Email is the #1 distraction and will veer you off course every time. For the next 30 days, try checking your email only twice a day. Once in the morning, and then around 4 in the afternoon. This way if something earth shattering comes in, you can respond to it before the workday is over.
4. Spend 70% of your available time each day Prospecting & Building Relationships.
I’ll bet you right now you’re spending more like 60% to 75% of your time on courses, blogging, answering text messages, email and just about everything under the sun to avoid picking up the phone and calling a new prospect. The bulk of your day needs to be spent talking with people, building relationships and prospecting is the only way to make a sale. Fear of the phone and the word NO, are the two biggest things holding you back from success in your network marketing business.
5. Goal Setting and Planning
Again, I am going to refer you to a previous article that will help you with setting goals and planning. http://workwithrichardp.com/are-you-still-shooting-blanks-in-your-network-marketing-business/
6. Pick It & Stick It!
Okay, granted, there is probably a better way I could have said that but… It got your attention right? Pick one strategy, it doesn’t matter which one, and stick to it until you are a master of it. Bouncing around from strategy to strategy trying to learn and implement 5 things at once will cause more MLM information overload, and will only delay any success you will have in your network marketing business.
If you’re a ham and love being in front of the camera, then start with a YouTube strategy. YouTube is one of the most powerful ways to connect with new prospects. It gives them a real sense of who you are and allows them to identify with you as a leader faster than any other method I can think of.
Consider making 90% of your videos, “How To” videos and teach people things you have recently learned. Remember, there is always someone brand new who is where you were just a few weeks ago. Chances are good they are looking for the same solutions to a problem as you were.
Facebook is another killer strategy for connecting with new people and generating leads for your MLM. Jessica Higdon is the queen of recruiting people straight from Facebook. Read her article so you can avoid the pitfalls and mistakes most people make on Facebook.
7. Schedule Social and Study Time
If you follow rule #4 then you know, 70 of your time is best spent prospecting. That leaves 30% of your overall time allotted for trainings, webinar’s, and social activities on or offline. Social activities should include: Reviewing other blogs in your niche for article ideas and education. Be sure and leave comments on relevant websites that offer value to the topic at hand. Pick websites with a higher PR rating than yours is generally a good rule of thumb when leaving comments. If they have the plugin, comment luv, even better because that is a great way to get a quality backlink to your site.
Schedule your time for things like replying to comments left on your blog, thanking people for RT’s on Twitter, writing articles, etc., for the early morning or after 9 pm when you can no longer make phone calls. Keep yourself open between 9-6 and start picking up that phone!
I can speak first hand to MLM information overload and distractions. To this day I still find myself getting sidetracked and wasting time. I’ve gotten much better since I have a written plan to follow.
If you want to keep from failing in your network marketing business and avoid the MLM information overload syndrome, try incorporating these 7 steps into your daily routine. It will make all the difference in your overall daily production, and ultimately your bank account.
